Where on Earth is the Geological Substance for Natural Resources?

Gemstone Exploration 101 and Why Northern Israel is the New Hotspot

How are gems formed and found? According to How Stuff Works, “Minerals formed in Earth’s mantle can find their way to the surface over the span of many years due to huge geologic effects. Earthquakes and volcanoes can bring deep rocks to the surface, while wind or water erosion gradually wears down surface soils to reveal buried bedrock. Humans can reveal bedrock as well, which is why it can be very rewarding to hunt for gems. There are tens of thousands of types of minerals in existence. And even though the varieties we would call gems are fewer, they’re created under combinations of conditions so vast as to be nearly infinite. Pressure, heat, location, the presence of other minerals and impurities, water, and geologic forces exerted later all contribute to the hardness, clarity, crystalline structure and color of gems and minerals. That’s what makes them so rare.”

Even rarer is when new findings are uncovered thanks to gemstone mining exploration companies like Shefa Gems in Northern Israel.

Shefa Gems is bringing Northern Israel into the spotlight as a never-before discussed region for cultivating precious gemstones. This unveiling is not only a turning point for the gem industry but for the region itself as it makes its way into the realm of already well-established areas for exploration and mining in other countries.

The company’s strategy is to focus on exploration targets which it deems to have the highest upside and can be bought into production at a relatively low cost.

To date, their drilling and bulk sampling endeavors have resulted in the discovery of precious gemstones including rubies, sapphires, Camel Sapphire, hibonites, diamonds, and natural moissanite.Shefa Gems at the early stages is sure to only grow more prosperous as their team delves further into the Promised Land’s giant “Gem Box.”

For instance, 9,778.15 cts. of gemstone minerals were found in the Kishon Mid-Reach Zone 1, including spinel, ilmenite, and garnet.

Shefa Gems  CEO, Avi Taub remarked, “This is an excellent start to our campaign as we move towards trial mining at the Kishon Mid-Reach Zone 1 and progress with Zone 2. The discovery of a 9th gemstone, Spinel, at our project in northern Israel, coupled with the re-classification of ilmenite and garnet to the newly created ‘Gem Box’, further cements our position as a unique multi-commodity explorer.”

According to Mining Technology, “The gemstone market value is $23bn and growing, as investors increasingly look to precious stone alternatives to the overinflated price of diamonds.” Shefa Gems is welcoming those interested in their projects to learn more, get involved, and be at the forefront of what’s to come from their Northern Israel mission.

As Conde Nast Traveler proclaims, “The most dazzling places on Earth often produce the most dazzling gems,” and for lovers of the beloved Promised Land, “dazzling” is certainly a fitting description of Northern Israel.
